Tobermeedy is a small stone-lined holy well in a woodland copse in County Limerick, dedicated according to one account to St Mida or Ida, yet no tradition of devotions reached the person who wrote about it in 1955. The contradiction gives the place life: a well named for a saint but remembered without prayer, as if the village kept the name and let the meaning drift into the water. Its outflow cuts through the enclosing bank, carrying whatever was dropped or forgotten out into the landscape.

In woodland copse, in NW quadrant of enclosure (LI036-09201-). Roughly circular pool (2.8m N-S; 2.4m E-W; Max. D 0.65m) with roughly stone lined edges. Outflow drain exits from W side of pool and runs ENE-WSW through enclosing bank of 036-09201---. According to Ó Danachair (1955, 211) 'no tradition of devotions'.
