Small flat-headed recess at side of road marks position of well - now filled-in. Does not appear to be of archaeological significance. Not visible at ground level. No local tradition of holy well in area marked on OS 6-inch map. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
