What is recorded here

Toberhanore is a holy well in County Cork, Ireland. The identity is clear even when the local story is not complete. The place may have served people as a drinking source, a ritual site or both. The missing detail does not remove the fact that Toberhanore exists as a named holy well.

At base rock outcrop, in boggy land. Marked 'Toberquire' on OS 6-inch map (1842). Well appears to be a natural spring in boggy field; no indications of holy use.
