In low-lying grassland. An L-shaped well enclosed by a circular concrete wall with a gate at E. A number of steps lead down to the water. There is a pump house outside it to W. According to local information, it was only used for domestic purposes. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
