On E side of a byroad directly opposite a church (GA093-003002-). This well, correctly Tobar Éinne, consists of a natural spring in a rock fissure at E end of a small modern rectangular enclosure. Some 1.5m to SSW of it is a small stone cairn surmounted by a modern cross (GBCAS Files). Toberenda (Tobar Éinne) is traditionally associated with Saint Éinne, a lesser-known early Irish saint. The well was historically visited for its supposed curative properties, particularly for eye ailments, and may have been a site of seasonal pilgrimage or local devotional practice.
