Tobereendoney Holy Well is traditionally associated with Saint Gobnait, a 6th-century Irish saint known for her patronage of bees and healing. The well is believed to have curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and may have been a site of pilgrimage and seasonal rituals in local folklore.
