Tobercrony is a holy well in County Clare, Ireland, where clean water has likely flowed for centuries. People may have visited the site to pray, heal or mark the passage of seasons, trusting that the water carried more than ordinary life. The name still points to a small, ancient relationship between humans and the earth, even when the local story has faded from memory.
