Toberbreeda

Situated in a slight hollow on poorly drained marshy land. A square well (dims. 0.85m x 0.94m x 0.3m D) which was dry at the time of visit and covered by a round-arched stone canopy with a plaster relief of St Brigid on the SE wall and a small cubby-hole on the NE wall. Two small stone steps lead down to the dried up well which was dedicated to St Brigid. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
