This monument was inspected in 1981 and described as follows: 'On a low-lying area of rocky outcrop. This well appears to have dried up' (SMR file). Holy well dedicated to St Patrick.

Dedicated to St Patrick, the well was historically associated with Christian pilgrimage and healing traditions linked to the patron saint of Ireland. Though now dry, such wells were often believed to possess curative properties and were sites of seasonal rituals and devotions.
