Situated in low-lying, wet pasture. Annotated ‘Tober Fintan’ and depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a spring well. Monument described in 1978 as a very small, natural surface spring, rising in waterlogged ground. The well is enclosed with a wide drain running to NE from it. Tober Fintan is associated with Saint Fintan, a 7th-century Irish monk and founder of the monastery at Moville in County Donegal. The well may have been visited for its supposed healing properties, as was common with many holy wells linked to early Christian saints.
