Tobar Mhoire

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Tobar Mhoire as Holy Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Tobar Mhoire is a medieval holy well associated with Saint Mary (Mhoire), common in Scottish and Irish tradition, where water was historically believed to have healing properties, particularly for women's ailments and fertility. Such wells were often sites of pilgrimage and seasonal rituals, especially during May Day or Samhain.
