Tiorga Mòr rises to approximately 500 metres and is part of the rugged landscape of the Outer Hebrides. Its name, meaning "Great Peak" in Scottish Gaelic, reflects its prominence in the local terrain. The mountain matters as a geographical and cultural landmark in the Na h-Eileanan Siar archipelago.
