What is recorded here

Thorney Bay features a stretch of sea cliffs composed primarily of London Clay, dating to the Eocene epoch, around 56 to 48 million years old. The cliffs formed through sedimentation in a shallow tropical sea and are notable for their accessibility and the presence of fossil-rich layers that attract amateur and professional geologists.
