What is recorded here
Killyleagh, County Down, Ireland, is the birthplace of Thomas L. Young, who arrived in Ohio after emigrating in 1847 and later became its thirty-third governor. The coastal town gave America a soldier who rose from musician to brevet brigadier general before turning his sharp mind toward law and public service. Young carried that Atlantic crossing into every chamber he entered, proving that distance cannot diminish the edge forged in youth.
