What is recorded here
Inchicore, County Dublin, is the birthplace of Thomas Kinsella, the Irish poet born there on 4 May 1928. He grew up in that area, attended the Model School where classes used the Irish language, and carried the energy of his working-class family into a life of writing. The place remains notable because it gave Dublin one of its most steady poets, a man who continued publishing until the 2010s and died in Dublin on 22 December 2021.
