Modern roadway appears to run on line of togher as indicated on OS 6-inch map. In low lying boggy area with no visible evidence of ancient roadway.(P.R.I.A. 1985C, 49). O'Donovan states that this tochar or pass through the bogs still remains and was guarded by a castle (see OF010-019 and OF010-018----) (Lucas 1985, 49).
