The Piece Hall, located in Halifax, West Yorkshire, was built in 1779 as a cloth trading hall and is one of the oldest surviving examples of its kind in England. It is important as a symbol of the region's historic wool trade and is associated with the industrial and commercial development of the Calder Valley.
