Situated on flat poorly drained land with Scohaboy Bog immediately to the S. A raised D-shaped area (dims. 100m N-S; 115m E-W) enclosed by a heavily overgrown earthen bank (Wth 2m; ext. H 1.5m) with external fosse (Wth 2m: ext. D 0.7m) and slight traces of an external bank which has been replaced by a nineteenth-century drystone wall best visible at S. No evidence of an entrance feature. A dense cover of vegetation makes detailed examination of site impossible. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
