The Clock Tower, Machynlleth

Built in the 14th century, The Clock Tower in Machynlleth was constructed as part of the town's defences by the medieval Marcher Lord of Powys, possibly Robert ap Thomas. It is remembered as a rare surviving example of a fortified clock tower in Wales and marks the historical importance of Machynlleth as a strategic and administrative centre in the Welsh Marches.
