This blue commemorative plaque records: Terry Hall 1926-2007 ventriloquist creator of 'Lenny The Lion', the popular children's television favourite of the 1950s and 1960s, was born at 635 Middleton Road, Chadderton, on 20th November 1926. Lenn'y favourite catchphrase "Aw, don't embawass me!" endeared him to all ages. Recorded plaque organisation: Oldham Council.
