The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Church reputed to have been built by St Mullin in thanksgiving for abolition of the Boromhu tribute (ITA 1945). Standing in roughly triangular enclosure (max. Wth c. 35m; max. L c. 70m) with original bank visible from SE-S-SW. Lower wall levels of rectangular structure of drystone masonry aligned ESE-WNW (int. dims. 6.5m x 3.3m). Possible entrance in S wall at SW corner. Altar at E end. Reputed to be a children's burial ground.
