The *Szent István* was an Austro-Hungarian dreadnought battleship sunk by an Italian torpedo boat on June 10, 1918, during World War I. The attack resulted in the deaths of over 400 crew members and the loss of the vessel off the coast of Italy; it holds historical significance as one of the first dreadnoughts to be sunk by a torpedo.
