Structure

A stake on the field surface (L 1.1m; diam. 0.42m). It was curved along its length and both ends had metal toolmarks. One end appeared to have been cut and then snapped. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
