Structure

A scatter of brushwood and one roundwood on the field surface (L 2.1m; Wth 0.5m; D 0.1m). The elements are irregularly laid and form no discernible structure. Woodworking is evidenced by chisel and wedge points on a number of pieces. The site is situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
