Structure

A single piece of brushwood (L 1.1m; diam. 0.043m) on the field surface. It has a metal-cut wedge point and lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum, ericaceous remains and unidentified reeds. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
