Structure

Two pieces of parallel brushwood (Wth 0.28m; D 0.04m) in the drain face. The brushwood (diam. 0.04m) is 0.34m apart. One piece has a metal-cut chisel point. They are in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. SMR OF010-484---- is 4.09m to the NW and SMR OF010-485---- lies to the W within 15m of this site. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2003. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
