Burial in Clonearl Demesne

The partial remains of a human body were recovered from a boundary drain in 2003. They consisted on the decapitated upper torso and arms of an adult male. A braided leather armband with metal attachments was on the upper left arm and the remains of a two-ply, twisted wooden withe inserted a hole cut through the upper portion of the same arm. The remains were subject archaeological investigation (License no. 03E1241) and removed to the National Museum of Ireland (2003:14). The date of the body is unknown.
