A vertical stake (L 0.37m; diam. 0.04m) in the drain face. The piece has a metal-cut chisel point and is in a desiccated condition. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
