Structure

A single alder roundwood in (diam. 0.1m) the drain face. Approximately 7.5m to the W there is a second roundwood at a similar depth in the drain face and there is some displaced brushwood 5m to the E. It is possible that this material is associated as there is no other archaeological material evident in the area. All the pieces are located in well-humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
