Structure

A piece of hazel brushwood (L 10.78m; diam. 0.026m) orientated NE-SW on the field surface. The piece is worked at both ends. It sits in poorly humified Sphagnum peat containing Eriophorum and some ericaceous root. Some worked brushwood c. 11m to the SW may be related to this site. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
