Structure

A piece of ash brushwood (diam. 0.055m), worked to a chisel point, on the field surface. It is in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum and ericaceous root. This piece may be related to SMR OF015-356----. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
