Structure

An irregular scatter of light brushwood, twigs and a light roundwood on the field surface (L 3.68m; Wth 1.55m min.; D 0.12m). Wood species include hazel, ash and birch. Metal-cut toolmarks are present. This material sits in moderately humified Sphagnum peat containing Eriophorum. The site may be related to SMR OF015-357----. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
