Structure

A single roundwood (L 1.07m min.; diam. 0.07m) on the field surface. Woodworking is evidenced by a chisel point and branch-trimming. It is in moderately humified Eriophorum peat containing ericaceous root. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
