Structure

A spread of five pieces of brushwood (Wth 0.66m; D 0.1m). Three of the pieces are orientated N-S, with the two remaining pieces overlying these at approximately right angles. The brushwood (diam. 0.023-0.038m) consists of four pieces of alder and a single piece of willow. A degraded chisel point was recorded. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
