Structure

A dispersed arrangement (Wth 1.25m; D 0.35m) of light brushwood in the drain face. The pieces are irregularly orientated and do not form a recognisable structure. Wood species include willow, birch, hazel and alder. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat containing fibrous roots. It is located 1.4m NW of SMR OF015-214---- and 2.2m SE of SMR OF015-215----. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
