Structure

A piece of birch brushwood (L 1.35m; diam. 0.04m) on field surface. One end has been worked to a chisel point and there is evidence for branch-trimming along its length. The piece lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
