Structure

A piece of ash brushwood (L 0.24m; diam. 0.05m) on the field surface. It is not certain that this piece is in situ. One end is cut to a chisel point. The piece lies on moderately humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
