Structure

A piece of ash brushwood (L 1.63m; diam. 0.045m) on the field surface. One end has a degraded toolmark from which a tear-mark (L 0.33m) extends. The wood is situated in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
