What is recorded here

A birch roundwood (L 5m min.; diam. 0.12m) on the field surface. A chisel point is recorded at one end of the piece, but the other end has been destroyed by milling. A number of other isolated pieces of worked wood are recorded in this area and may represent disturbed elements of a more substantial site. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
