What is recorded here
Kinnegad Bog kept two parallel roundwoods hidden in its drain face, visible only from one side during the 2013 survey. They may have marked a doorway, a boundary or a forgotten path through wet darkness. By 2015 the peat had taken them back, leaving behind a shape remembered rather than seen.
This site was located in the industrial peatlands of Kinnegad Bog. It was recorded in the 2013 Peatland Survey as two light roundwoods, exposed in section in the drain face. They were not visible in the opposing drain face. The roundwoods were lying parallel to one another (Bermingham 2014).
During the 2015 field season (licence 15E0176) the location of this site was determined by GPS, but no remains of the site were found.
