Structure

Three pieces of mixed brushwood and a light roundwood (L 0.92m min.; Wth 0.2m; D 0.065m). The wood is closely spaced, orientated NE-SW. Two pieces of brushwood have evidence of woodworking. The site is at a boundary between two different strata of moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
