Structure

Three planks and two pieces of light brushwood (L 1.18m; Wth 0.48m; D 0.05m). One plank appears to be deposited as a substructure beneath one of the other planks. The upper planks are orientated approximately NNE-SSW and are longitudinally laid. The underlying plank is transversely laid and all are radially split. The site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
