Structure

A willow stake (L 0.485m; diam. 0.045m) projecting from field surface at an angle of 56°. The lower end is cut to a chisel point. The upper end of the piece extends approximately 0.185m above the surface of the bog, suggesting that the stake may be modern. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
