No. Of two thin wood fragments lying flat in an Offaly field, one sharpened to a point and the other cut to a wedge, there is no visible chamber, foundation, hearth or made shape. Charcoal nearby suggests fire, but fire does not prove a house. The claim is not that these are building remains; it is only that human hands shaped wood in that place.

A fragmented worked roundwood and a parallel fragment of brushwood (L 0.85m; Wth 0.12m; D 0.08m), on the field surface. The roundwood was worked to a pencil point and the brushwood to a wedge shaped end. Some fragments of charcoal were recorded in close proximity to this material. This material is located 0.32m above the mineral soil within a marginal forest environment with a dryland island situated to the N. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1998. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
