Structure

The site is composed (Wth 1.5m; D 0.37m) of two posts, two stakes and a piece of half-split hazel brushwood exposed at the base of a drain. The uprights (L 0.28-0.37m; diam.0.039-0.065m) are of hazel and birch and set at angles of 70-90°. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
