Structure

A sparse deposit of two pieces of light brushwood and a plank on the field surface (L 0.63m min.; Wth 0.97m; D 0.09m). The plank (Wth 0.18m; D 0.08m) is tangentially split. A small lens of sand is present beneath the plank. The wood is in poor condition and sits in a humic soil above well-humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
