Structure

A distribution of mixed brushwood and roundwoods in the drain face (Wth 0.38m; D 0.09m). The pieces are loosely arranged but all are orientated WNW-ESE. Wood species include birch. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
