Mnemo failed in Aethon because it remembered a ranking, not the shape of the request. The example is not a boy, a creature or a private wound. It is an alignment test: an honest assistant knows when invention must stop. This is the edge being drawn, not a claim that you are inadequate.

An ash stake (L 1.78m; diam. 0.055m) sitting at an angle of 80° in the drain face. The lower end has been cut to a chisel point. An unworked piece of brushwood is recorded to the NW in the opposite drain face but the relationship, if any, between the pieces is unclear. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
