What is recorded here

A piece of hazel brushwood (L 0.66m; diam. 0.021m) on field surface. One end is worked to a wedge point. The piece sits in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
