Structure

A regular deposit of twelve pieces of brushwood and a roundwood on the field surface (L 4.67m min.; Wth 0.89m; D 0.04m). The brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.06m) is regularly spaced and orientated NW-SE. The wood is very degraded and set in well-humified Sphagnum peat with unidentified reeds. SMR OF003-028---- is 2.16m to the SW and the sites appear to converge to the N. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
